2017年製 Gibson Custom Shop Collector’s Choice #46 Scott Bradoka 1959 Les Paul Aged #9-2023 (Bradoka Burst)です。

Hello friends!

My pick for today is…

2017 Gibson Custom Shop Collector’s Choice #46 Scott Bradoka 1959 Les Paul Aged #9-2023 (Bradoka Burst)

It’s 2018, but I’m still in love with Les Pauls.

We already have a 2017 Collector’s Choice in stock. Nothing wrong with that right?

One disclaimer before we start.

We won’t be able to ship this one overseas since it is made in 2017.

As some of you may be aware, there were some changes made in the Washington Treaty that came in effect starting January 2nd, 2017.

All guitars using rosewood will now need an export permit, and we have been shipping with this permit attached.

However, with guitars imported into Japan after the above date does not have all the required documents and information needed for us to apply for the permit.

So, if you’re a customer living outside of Japan who is interested in this guitar, I am very sorry, but you will have to come directly to the shop in order to make the purchase. I hope you all kindly understand!

I still wanted to share this guitar with you because, well, it’s worth it.

Mr. Scott Bradoka is a renowned collector of vintage Bursts, and the ’59 Les Paul #9-2023 is one of his favorites in terms of tone and feel. I can easily tell why.

The neck profile is tad slimmer than what I think most of us are familiar with when we think of ’59-style Les Pauls.

Not that its slim like how it is in the 60’s.

It’s still got enough chunk, but the sides are rolled away which feels snug in the hands.

A good playing Les Paul is always fun to play, no doubt.

A good sounding Les Paul is always hard to put down.

This one has it. It’s that good old vintage tone.

The midrange bloom is outstanding.

You can feel the body resonating right from the center to create that flourishing sustain that follows slightly after the attack.

I’ve always loved the combination of Les Pauls and old tweed or black-face Fender amps, but this one sounds just as good when you plug it in to faster responding amps that have less compression and sag compared to Fenders.

Don’t get in the way of this thing. Too much distortion won’t do you good.

Do less, and you’ll earn more.
