Fender 1976 Precision Bass PJ Mod

This is a modified 1976 “Precision Bass” with a PJ layout.

The front pickup is original, while the rear pickup is a black bobbin from the 1970s (rewound). The controls consist of individual volume knobs for each pickup and a master tone control. (All assemblies are non-original.)

An extra pickup cavity was added to accommodate the additional pickups, and the cutout around the volume knob beneath the pickguard was expanded.

The instrument exhibits signs of wear and tear consistent with its age, including numerous scratches and dents, a peeling finish, weather checking and a dent with a cracked finish near the second fret on the back of the neck, as well as peeling or tarnished plating on the metal parts.

The frets have been re-fretted and show almost no wear. There are no issues with the neck or truss rod.

The front pickup cover has been replaced..
