Fender Custom Shop 2023 Michael Landau 1968 Stratocaster Relic
This is the signature model of Michael Landau, a renowned studio and session musician.
Based on his own 1968 Stratocaster, the relic finish meticulously recreates the weathered pattern and large areas of paint chipping across the entire body.
The asymmetrical neck shape (thicker on the sixth string side and thinner on the first string side) is ideal for Landau’s “shake-hand” playing style. It has narrow-tall frets and a 7.25-inch radius fingerboard.
The pickups are hand-wound “Fat 50’s” bearing an “MB” signature.
There are some scuffs on the back of the body, and multiple areas of melted paint (appearing cloudy) on the body end and back.
The frets have been levelled, are about 80% intact and have no dents. The neck and truss rod are in good condition.
