Gibson Custom Shop 2021 Murphy Lab 1964 SG Standard Light Aged w/ Maestro Vibrola & Grover

This is a 2021 Gibson Custom Shop '64 SG Standard Maestro Light Aged Grover from the Murphy Lab.

This “1964 SG Standard Maestro” model has been aged by “Murphy Lab”, a team specialising in ageing led by Tom Murphy, a leading authority in the field.

With the 'Light Aged' finish — the second most subtle treatment in the four-tier ageing menu offered by the Murphy Lab Collection — this guitar has a dignified appearance, with fine weather checking and scratches that give it a natural patina.

While the body top and neck grip show some reddish fading, there is no significant damage to detract from the overall appearance.

The truss rod has been slightly tightened, but can still be adjusted, and the guitar plays well.
