本日ご紹介するのは

Fender Custom Shop 2013 Masterbuilt Custom Stratocaster Relic by Dennis Galszka (Sunburst)

 

今日もまた面白い一本です。

 

Fenderマスタービルダー、デニス・ガルズカ氏の手により製作されたこちらのストラト、リアにはハムバッカー、そしてフロントにはハムバッカーサイズのP-90が搭載されてます。ボディー材はアッシュ、そしてローズウッドの指板はスキャロップ加工がされている点もまた独特。

 

ネックはいわゆる60年代のものに比べると厚みと丸みがあり、スキャロップ指板と合わせて不思議な感触があります。

 

フロントはP-90とアッシュボディーの効果もあり、言ってしまえば太いストラトという印象。

面白いのはリアのハムバッカー。とても使いやすい、温かみのある音で尖った高音域があまりないトーンです。

Well, look at this thing.

 

Another unique creation from Fender Masterbuilder Dennis Galszka, this is a Strat with a humbucker on the rear and a humbucker-sized P-90 on the front.

 

It’s got an ash body with a scalloped rosewood fretboard neck.

The neck is a bit more chunky than 60’s style necks, which has a unique feel combined with the scalloped fingerboard.

 

The front pickup sounds much like a Strat, but fatter, thanks to the ash body and P-90 pickup.

The interesting part is the rear pickup. The humbucker gives a nice warm tone, which is very usable without excessive treble.
