本日ご紹介するのは
2013 Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilt ’60 Telecaster Custom Relic by John Cruz (Montego Black)。

名工、ジョン・クルーズ氏の手によって制作されたテレキャスター・カスタム。

まず手触りがとてもいい！

ネックグリップに施されたサンディング、そしてクルーズ氏特有の焼けたような濃い色合いがぼくはすごく好きです。

テレにしては結構軽く、広がりのある鳴り方をします。

両ピックアップの出力も比較的弱く、またクセもあまりないので、痛い高音域も、モタつくような低音域もありません。

ナッシュビル出のカントリーピッカーが好むような太さがある訳ではありませんが、高音域方向に聞こえる豊かな倍音がとても美しいです。

とてもいい個体であることは間違いなし。

Here’s a real cool Tele Custom made by the godly hands of Fender Masterbuilder John Cruz.

This guitar feels very nice in the hands.

I love the relicing done on the neck; how it’s sanded down, and the dark, “roasted” color often seen on Cruz-made guitars.

Being pretty light for a Tele, the body has an open resonance that I just love.

Both the neck and bridge pickups are not very hot, and sounds balanced without any harsh treble or muddy low end.

Not exactly one of those fat Nashville twangy tone, but still has a beautiful shimmery harmonics.

This one’s a real player!
